Neighbors & Visitors

WCC believes in giving back to the community. One way we do this is by making selected facilities and services available to the public without charge.

You’re welcome to check out books and DVDs from the Richard W. Bailey Library, which has an extensive collection of books, periodicals, electronic resources, and other materials, and to use the Computer Commons, which has more than 150 Dell and Macintosh computers that are connected to the Internet.

Focus on Health

The Health & Fitness Center at Washtenaw Community College promotes healthy lifestyles for WCC students, staff members, and the community. It offers exercise equipment, two pools, and a cushioned track. It also promotes healthy living with a variety of classes, some of which are provided by WCC’s LifeLong Learning department.

If you’re 65 or over and live in Washtenaw County, you can take most classes for free or at a reduced cost. For credit classes, WCC pays your tuition, contact hour fee, and technology enrollment fee. For non-credit classes, WCC pays your tuition for in-person classes. In both cases, you just pay any remaining fees.

Before you register for classes, you have to bring proof of your age and residency to the Student Connection on the second floor of WCC’s Student Center. For details, call the Student Connection at 734-973-3543.

WCC also offers free non-credit classes for Washtenaw County residents who are 65. Read our FAQs about Discountshere.
